Winter Arrives!

A snow scene.

a single flake of snow
soon swirls into many
excitement stirs
faces hover in the windows
of all the houses
where children live
and adults like me
who love to see the city
turn into a winter paradise
and as the flakes pile up
as inches turn to feet
I'll be out there in the snow
playing with the neighborhood kids
who live along my street
