Holding Back

 

 

 

Have you ever been in love with the right person

Only the timing wasn’t there

You both had feelings

And each of you still care

 

To see him with his girlfriend

Realizing it use to be you

It tears you up inside

Sometimes you wish he knew

 

But what you may not realize

Is he suffers just as you do

He bites back his tongue

Every time he sees the two of you

 

It’s hard to hide old and new feelings

Knowing it would only once again - fail

For them to try and make it work

Would only make their lives hell

 

She wish he knew how she felt

Back then and even today

Who will make the first move

And just come right out to say...

 

“ I love you

I always have and I always will

I had to let you know

How I truly feel.”
