A Broken Heart

A Broken Heart

A Poem by Curious Twist

Teasing my mind

Thinking she’s mine

Bleeding my heart out

In this damned rhyme

A smile on the outside

And at times on the in

Getting harder every day

To maintain this grin

You left me for broke

Flat lined and vacant

Forgetting me here

I hope I can make it

Your voice a distant memory

Your face just a blur

Your heart filled with hatred

Or so I’ve heard

What to do now

My life such a mess

Im drawing up nothing

Where’s all my success

Am I hanging onto nothing

My mind slipping through my grasp

Feelings torn to shreds

No time to rest

Up at strange hours

I sit and I wonder

Is this the way it ends

A horrible blunder

Do I fight on for what was

Against half my minds thoughts

Or fight for you

For my own selfish wants

I don’t know

I’ll know soon enough

Just got to end this

I’m finished with this stuff
