To Gray, With Love

To Gray, With Love

A Poem by Lydia Jamison

I wonder where you came from,
And who you think you are.
You're nothing like an angel,
You got me seeing stars.

I think you're so impossible.
You make me want to scream
When you tell me that I'm wonderful,
And that I'm your everything.

You have got no temper,
And I always want to fight.
The way you always try me
Makes me feel so high.

I've heard so many say
That opposites attract.
But whenever I'm around you,
I have no idea how we'll react.

You're always so chaotic,
Your life isn't in one place.
I'd like to tell you that I'm lying,
When I say I love the chase.

You never say forever,
And, yeah, that's fine with me.
We never try to look for
Things that we can't see.

So go ahead and seize the day,
Hold it close inside your heart.
There's no future when there's right now,
We don't need to fall apart.

I feel perfect around you,
We fit just like a glove.
I'll write you what I'm thinking,
To Gray, with all my love.
