Until We Reunite

Until We Reunite

A Poem by Dark and Light
"

This is a poem I wrote about two people who were very close to my heart. Tear it apart, let me know ANY feedback you have, good or bad. Like it you like.

"

I never got to see you

I never got to meet you

You were probably amazing

That’s what your daughter says

You’d be proud of your youngest daughter

A person who puts her kids before everyone

Teaches her kids the way to live life

Sacrifices her comforts for her kIds

A person who has a wonderful husband that you never got to see

A person who has 2 kids who yearn to meet you

Kids that have never seen you

You don't know what it's like

There's an emptiness in your daughter's kid’s hearts’

In your daughter's heart too

The kids would give anything to see you once

To meet the people that raised their mother so well

The people who your daughter’s kid’s have heard countless stories about

Her kids have seen your pictures

They wade in a stream of your memories

They yearn and itch to meet you

Her kids know you two are watching us

You both were reunited in a life after life

In 90 or so years we will all be reunited

Reunited in a life after life

United as a family

You will get to see your daughter’s amazing husband, his parents too

You will also get to see her 2 kids

The kids will finally be able to see you

We yearn for that moment

We will see you

We won’t let your memories grow cold

There is a fire in our heart

Yearning for your memories

Yearning for your stories

Yearning for you

The fire nurtures and tends the empty space in our hearts, keeps it warm

For the day we will all be reunited

We will see you soon

We will wait to see you

Until then

Rest In Peace
