Darkness of Depression

This is how I feel sometimes

Why am I on this planet?

All I see is darkness.

Every time I see a glimpse of light,

It fades quickly, not giving me a chance to get near it.

I wish that I could walk into the light,

Turning my sadness into happiness.

That will never happen.

I'm purposely here in the dark.

The darkness overwhelms me.

It swallows me whole.

All I see is black.

I don't know which way to go.

Get me out of this black hole.

Someone please come save me.

I feel all alone

In this darkness of depression.

Most of us like we are in a dark hole. I believe we must go forward and hope we can find the light and a good place to think and rest. I like the thoughts and the strong ending to the excellent poetry.
