A Midnight Ride Through the Valley Below

A Midnight Ride Through the Valley Below

A Poem by Hide From God
"

Title is about the rides I would take to the hospital after work to visit my god daughter who was battling brain cancer.

"
This has to be a mistake
You have to be wrong.
She's far too young.
Denial.

Why didn't you know?
Do something, anything!
She can't die, she can't die!
She's f*****g eight!
Anger.

I'll do anything I can.
Give her mine, give her anything!
Oh god, just make her live
Bargaining.

I promised John I'd take care of her
But I'm watching her die right before my eyes
Oh god, I failed them both.
Depression.

Death didn't take her
This emptiness can't be real
I just want her to be here
Never Accept It.

About
Tattooed Hearts and Broken Promises. Oh girl this boat is sinking, There's no sea left for me. And how the sky gets heavy, When you are underneath it. Oh, I want to sail away from here, And G.. more..
