The Fish and The Bird

So here we are standing,

Me looking at the sky, you staring at the grass

Why are we even trying?

For I’m just too sly, for you’re just too crass

Shouldn’t we be leaving,

Each other to our own sad lives?

So that we can find new lies

Ones that we will easily believe in
