RedA Poem by Summer D.A color of crossing metaphors.Red Red; the color of freedom. The echo to a rebel’s sound; the steady tap on the surface of the drums. Angry strokes along an canvas depict a scene so tangible. We are no longer content with the silvery tips of a faerie’s wings. We sketched their frantic words and fragmented dreams" the broken men. Red had become so violent" Love is War. There is another color in all its subtlety. With its monotone hues and gradient; bowing its cowardly head. Red is drowned out in a low hymn of sadness. There is no place for such madness. In these rows of granite. It begs the question. Red; the color of freedom. When will you paint our skies again? When will you light our cities ablaze? Red; a color of crossing metaphors. Free me. Summer D. Also Known As: Aisha_U © 2012 Summer D.Author's Note
