Ashes To Ashes, And So It Goes

Ashes To Ashes, And So It Goes

A Poem by Brandon Taylor-Black
"

One Of My Personal Favourites

"

Once upon a twilight night
On velvet wings, I took flight
Floating through nefarious dreams
Fuelled on by a valkyries screams
For the souls of the lamented
Ripped apart by the ill contented
Like shadows on the ochre ground
I succumbed to the deafening sounds
And as the Satan Beast conjectured
Through looking glass, black hearts reflected
Mistress of the Lamb Of God
Slumbers in the Land Of Nod
While spirits of Unholy Lords
Battle with serrated swords
I wandered on, in mindless haze
Through the graves of fallen days
Chased by Demons and miscreants
Creations of Delusion and sycophants
Until I fell on bloody knees
In the shadow of the Judas tree
Where once began my life, my birth
Entombed once more in Mother Earth
Until all that's left is naked bones
Ashes to Ashes, and so it goes
Around
