Canada eh? huh.

Canada eh? huh.

A Poem by Douglas Holden
"

A poetic story about my Canadian experiences... A born and true, Washingtonian, uh Pacific Northwest, Below Canada, on a ball. Yes, on the flat Earth well huh? Eh? yeah, indeed neighbors. WA state.

"
HAMA HAMA HAMA
Hot Springs Cove
Tofino

Whale watching?
Soaking.
INN CHANTER
Shaun.

Wickaninnish
Bears
Discovery, self/SELF adrift on a dingy.
Camera, heat, strawberry plants
Runners all across the hot Basalts

Good food
Great friends
Loonies and Tunies
A mountain bike bought from

A man who seemed lost and broken
Captain said, "Report it stolen!"
Or make a report with the local police
That was in Victoria, B.C.

Report filed
No return mention
Bike was mine
Cycled around Tofino

Went to hike Tonquin Beach
Not far from downtown
well within reach
A memory, a dream, recalled
I was here in my dream!
Later in this perception
Of reality

When will we see?
No borders needed?
No difference between?
The whole I AM
All is but a dream?

Long ago
I so miss Hot Springs Cove
On board HAMA
Crew for a month
Some of the best memories
Port Renfrew to Port Alberni
Many Ports in between

Harold Street Cafe' Victoria, feeling rich for a time
Captain a good friend then
Now to disembark
Continue on a new journey

New life
New spark
Kindled into a great fire
Flames rekindled, to aspire to new heights
Travel soon abroad.

Lovely memories, fading
Times passages
Memories but mere thoughts now
Yesterday
Meeting Thirsty Kirsty
And many more

HOT SPRINGS COVE!!
The days all come together as one.
All into, now.
