White-Out

White-Out

A Poem by Breezie Kae
"

Written during sophomore year.

"

(Hey, daddy-oh, daddy-oh,

can’t fight the feeling when the feeling don’t flow,

can’t plead ignorance unless you already know,

can’t blame your faith until you fall.)

You steer clear,

so much for fight a feeling.

You weren’t here,

so I guess it’s just another

day, but hey -

who called this living anyway?

But hey -

who called this living?

And we sing:

Hey, daddy-oh, daddy-oh,

can’t fight the feeling when the feeling don’t flow,

can’t plead ignorance unless you already know,

can’t blame your faith until you fall.

Hey, daddy-oh, daddy-oh,

can’t fight the feeling when the feeling don’t flow,

can’t plead ignorance unless you already know,

can’t blame your faith until you fall.

So go on,

we can vent under frostbite stars.

We live on.

We can get some Smoothie King.

(and I don’t mean that dirty at all)

But hey -

can you stop life as it slips away?

Say hey -

don’t let it get away.

And we’ll say:

Hey, daddy-oh, daddy-oh,

can’t fight the feeling when the feeling don’t flow,

can’t plead ignorance unless you already know,

can’t blame your faith until you fall.

Hey, daddy-oh, daddy-oh,

can’t fight the feeling when the feeling don’t flow,

can’t plead ignorance unless you already know,

can’t blame your faith until you fall.

But hey -

who said it’s just another day?

But hey -

we’ll just keep living.
