Melted Sugar

Melted Sugar

A Poem by Breezie Kae

It's not a death wish,
it's a sunrise.
It's not a guilt trip,
it's a compromise.

Compromise is hell
when both sides are screwed.
It's a melted sugar occasion -
too hot for use.

Don't tell me that I'm wrong,
I've been through it too many times.
Suicides are never enough
when living feels like a crime.

You're not too prone to wordplay,
you just tell it how it is.
Even my poems about depression
are really about bliss.

This is how your mind screwed you -
so many contradictory emotions
packed into one place,
competing for this occasion:

This melted sugar occasion.

The title really caught my eye and I like this piece greatly. It flowed very well.

Yes we compromise with the devil and we lose in the end. I like the purpose of this poem. Writers who take you in many directions and leave you thinking made me desire to read their words. You accomplish this with this powerful poem. A excellent poem.
