Humanity has
for countless years been defined and perhaps even poisoned with the various
religions that have developed within it.Perhaps even since our beginnings did humanity look up at the stars and
ponder just how existence came about. No
matter how hard one might try to conceal this fact, every human has at one
point wondered to an extent of our creation, every one coming up with a
different conclusion.Some decide to
give up their ability to decide to an organized religion, some choose to
empower themselves with deciding what their beliefs are.I am one of the latter of the two; but this
will come about in detail later.
As touched upon above, there are
those that would give up their freedom to decide of their creation to an organized
religion, which, in this contemporary era, I believe is wrong. In the past I will admit religion’s use to
form a society and maintain a slow move forward in terms of technology. At some point religion did in fact help unify
and protect us, even though this meant that the opposing religions needed to
fight each other to maintain their belief system. Now, in modern times, the need for religion
is fizzling away and all that is left is a lot of unnecessary quarrelling and
pointless deaths.Religion as a ruling
party in ancient times was a good thing; religion in a modern world serves no
need.
Now about those that choose to
empower themselves by choosing to decide their own reasoning to the subjects
religion tries to solve for them. These
people are becoming more and more prevalent now in the modern era due to
religion’s waning usefulness.These
people are the likes of atheists, deists, and really anyone that is against
organized religion.Atheists have
decided that dwelling on the thought of God is a useless waste of time; deists
have deduced that God really would not care whether or not you belonged to an
organized religion.My belief system is
much more like the latter, but nonetheless, I give power to the ones who wish
to choose for themselves just what God is and just what its nature is.They are the future of this world.
An individual belief system will not
be over simplified to appease to the masses such as most religions “God is
good, do good for God,” this is much too simple of a conclusion to a subject as
diverse as how we came about.Something
that would have the power to create something as complex as existence would not
dwell in the realm of good and evil, it would not be biased in such a way as to
judge individuals on their life as a
human. My main point here is to stop
fearing God and really just come to think about what you think its nature would
be yourself. All in all, life is really
just a complicated game, enjoy it.Make
mistakes, be human.I doubt any God
could judge you harshly on being simply what it created you to be.
"It would not be biased in such a way as to judge individuals on their life as a human. " This is a bit confusing. If it does judge us, it should be on our lives as a human. "Make mistakes, be human. I doubt any God could judge you harshly on being simply what it created you to be." But you are saying he wouldnt judge us am i right?
To be honest i found your story to be very difficult to read and understand. You believe a god exists but doesn't get involved or care (i think this is smart). You say organised religion is bad.
Even if you could get people to give up on their beliefs, they would probably just create new ones. As for organised religion, while there is a lot of bad involved there is also a lot of good as well. It provides community, services, physical and mental aid, and hope. A lot of people have trouble dealing with stressing periods of their lives, the religious often turn to God, who doesn't respond, it is their community that gets them through it.
If a deity existed, and it really did know everything, do anything, then why do anything? It would be fully content. Why create earth if it already knows what will happen? Why would it make us suffer to teach us a lesson if it can teach us the lesson without suffering? Why is god responsible for all the good things but when bad things happens its just because s**t happens? Why would god create some people who he knows wouldnt believe in him and then punish them for it? Why does Jesus get special treatment? Why does god have a penis and n*****s if he was originally the only thing that existed? Why did he impregnate Mary with giving her the chance to lose her virginity? Why are banana's that fit our hands considered proof when pineapples and thorns can hurt us? Why is our sexual urges so strong but forbidden? Why pray for god to change things when he already knows what you want, when he already has a plan, and when he has better judgement than you? ... ect
'God does not exist' for those who believe in science and 'God exists' for those who believe in God. Nonetheless, these are only the 3-D models of what we interpret of the universe. Now, we have not evolved enough to understand about the origin of the universe and its exact happenings since then. Now, we can only speculate about the universe, but it would be the ultimate point when we understand about it, for it would be the point when we may lose our curiosity(the root of all these things).
You make many valid points. I consider myself to be more of an agnostic than anythingelse, though I faithfully attend and erve in my church. It adds needed structure to my life. Many people of many beliefs are on this sight. There are militant Christians and militant atheists. I have seen nothing of that from deists or atheists. I guess they just don't care enough.
