Have I fallen?

Have I fallen?

A Poem by EmpressPoetess
"

Meditating on if it's love

"

In the pre-dawn light, I watch you sleep
and silently, I wonder of the tranquil feelings
inside me of how lying beside you can
quietly calm the chaos in my life
Have I fallen?
How does the touch of your hands,
like salve, heal the lingering pain of my past
You've given me back all that I lost you
have become my better half
()  ()  ()  ()  ()
I've looked into eyes, but never before
eyes that reach to my very core
only your kiss is the kiss that I desire
and that look in your eyes sets my soul on fire
Have I fallen?
Could there ever be another,
who's laughter brings joy to my fluttering
heart, who's smile leaves a touch of sun within
no, never before, not ever!
  ()  ()  ()  ()  ()
I lay here gentley stroking your hair,
and softly kissing your mouth, and I am filled
with serenity and a hope I've never felt before
from your tender loving care
Have I fallen?
As sleep finally claims me, I smile knowingly
The answer is yes, I have fallen
ever so deeply.
