Turn To Dust

Turn To Dust

A Poem by EternityWolf101

The angels have turned to dust

And the sky cried tears upon the Earth

The century old war has ended

And evil is done

The bloodshed ceases to continue

And the violence has died

The monsters are no more

And the guardians follow their lead

But what remains, I question

After all good has disappeared

And all the angels have turned to dust

INTRODUCTION

Angels have the tendency to be the focal point of most poetry. However, I find it intriguing to hear your interpretation of them

CONTENT

"The century old war has ended"

The question I have: What is the century old war? I found this line to be intriguing.

"After all good has disappeared

And all the angels have turned to dust"

Very beautiful conclusion! Subjectively, it is the balance between "good" and "evil," and therefore, this ending would not occur.

CONCLUSION

Religious texts have often portrayed angels as righteous and hostile creatures. However, I enjoyed the optimism behind the piece. Well done!

To question is your job as a poet. You have raised it/them, now go answer them.

This made me sigh and think. I like when things do that, I love this, it's tragic and sad, yet beautiful and sort of representing a new beginning, like new life. Beautiful.

What does remain...Perhaps there should be a second part to this? Well done and thought provoking. I liked it.
