One day

One day

A Poem by DrD

One day, when everything has ended

And nothing is worth starting

I will surrender to all this

And accept that all I have is nothing

I will concede the waste and worry

The useless remembering

Choking away the tear of regret

And the hollow pain of aloneness

I will do this, I promise

I will keep each vow and oath

And start immediately on that one day

When you don’t step into my thoughts

You've got a bit of a typo. I'm don't think one can chock.
I like it, if I understand it correctly. The philosophy of having nothing and only nothing has always been something that's stuck with me. When I'm doing s****y, it's usually because I think I have something. Like I'm the master of it, whatever it is. Like I can somehow control the s**t-storm that's going on around me.
Short, simple. I'll say it again; I like it.
Then again, maybe don't listen to me. I don't know a thing about poetry

You start and end almost the same way within your lines of thought...the way you present this verse to the reader reflects a moment...gives one to ponder with the words that lay before you...as quoted:

One day, when everything has ended
And nothing is worth starting

And start immediately on that one day
When you don’t step into my thoughts
