Gone

Gone

A Poem by Faithy
"

Because I could not stop for Death He kindly stopped for me - Emily Dickinson

"
I can feel everything closing in now
Seeing through eyes closed shut
The thudding noise on the ceiling is getting softer
Until it finally stops

The angel that use to come only in my dreams
Comes to lay down besides me
Tells me what is happening up there
I nod as he whispers in my ear

He leaves me as I wait
As he is grinding information into the slate
When I feel tears and loneliness
He comes back to conquer it

That would be the only time he would leave
He came back and wrapped around me
I would live here forevermore
The world would see me nevermore

We need Angels to keep us on the right track. Poem started strongly and got better. Your poem had a sadness to it also. I had to read a few times to try to catch everything. A very good poem.
