Help her, she's asking for help

Help her, she's asking for help

A Poem by Wings

I’m hungry, and there’s food right in front of me, but I can’t eat it. I don’t want to eat it, because if I do, I would want to throw up

She’s hungry

She’s tired

There’s food in front of her

But she can’t eat

Why? They ask

Because she’s breaking apart

She’s anorexic

She’s bulimic

I’ve seen her a couple of times

Checking her waist line on the mirror,

Weighing her self after a shower Sometimes

Help her, She needs help

Scars on her arm,

She wears a watch to hide her self harm

She doesn’t want the world to know

That she’s breaking inside

Sometimes she wants to tell someone

So she looks around

“Mom” “let me finish my work”

“Hey guys” “Oh sorry, I have a test tomorrow”

She doesn’t want to be like this

So she starts to write

She hopes, at least then

“Maybe I could reach out to someone”
