will you be forgiven?

a poem based on my cousins, they really break my heart

I held her tight against my chest,blocking all the screams

Tonight is another night of their usual fight it seems

I looked down at my sister, holding back my tears

I have to stay brave, I had to hold her tight

I had to protect her from my father's screaming fight

My sister fell asleep, seems the fighting did too

I quietly take the phone, calling "her", asking what to do

She sounded asleep, of course, its midnight

I knew her eyes widened when I told her about the fight

She kept assuring me, to dont worry

I said good bye, and cried myself to sleep because of my horrible life story

Oh Father, will you be forgiven?

You cheated and lied, not at mother but at us

Then you act innocent and make such a fuss

Oh Father, will you be forgiven?

the "her" is me, my cousin is younger than me by 3 years, she tells me everything, she is a strong kid, I admire her..enjoy
