A Chapter by Forgotten

Prologue

Hi I’m Damion, Damion Dreadger. I used to be but an average peasant, just like you; a peasant with no real future but owning the Dreadgers farm, just like my father did, and my father’s father and so on. My mother passed away when I was small, taken by God to join him in his eternal paradise. However owning the family’s farm becomes nothing but a void, erased from my life. That night, that fateful night, everything changed, my calm gentle nature shared its sanctuary with that of a savage beast stirring on the inside, taking control, dreaming of nothing but tasting the red liquor of the body, gathering the sickly sweet aroma of the somewhat addictive drug lying beneath the flesh of a living one.

Off to a good start. Whenever you can avoid long sentences, avoid them :) Some of your sentences are really long and that leaves room for errors on your part and confusion on the readers part. "However owning the family’s farm becomes nothing but a void, erased from my life." is the however necessary? I actually quoted that line to tell you its an amazing description!

A very good introduction. Create a situation and a strong character. I will keep reading.
