` No Name `

` No Name `

A Poem by Fran Marie
"

life

"

Some people have no name, you know

 homeless they wander the street

they merely exist as a plain Jane or John Doe

some barely have shoes on their feet

Once they may have known better times

 perhaps,having fortune and fame?

and one day they find it's all gone

where once was pride, now lies only pain

Hopeless, without a prayer,

they stare aimlessly without a goal

 doubtful and full of despair

no names, no life, no soul

 Alone, and feeling worthless

it's hard to believe where they're at

Nomads ~ nonetheless without a place

 to hang their hats

 yes, it's all too depressing

there is no song for them to sing

just plain jane and john does

,no dressing no icing on their cake, no ice cream

How do they get to that place?

it can surely happen to anyone

to be a nobody, nowhere, noway

no heavenly place in the sun

We're all living precariously, one step away from saying

"I am nobody" and becoming just the same

God can zap it all away, anytime, anyday,

and we too can be a no name!

This is fantastic. I wrote something similar to this a while back called They Smile Too... You have a fantastic way with puzzling words together and the fit is...perfect!
