Cupid~That lil' Rascal

 

Cupid that lil' rascal

where ever did he go?

Here it was Valentine Day

and Cupid was a no show

 

The little imp was suppose to be in flight

Equipped with arrows and bow.

shooting love with preciscion sight

straight into all hearts of woe.

 

Looking all over, hither and yon

no where could that rascal be found.

Had Cupid thrown his quiver down?

making lovers everywhere frown

 

Suddenly with a grin upon his face

the rascal showed up for work

Said he just wanted to scare the human race

then filled his bag and turned with a jerk.

 

"Let this be a lesson," said he

without me you'd all be lost

and Valentine's Day would cease to be

if it was Cupid's day off.
