Apologies

Sorry for the times I failed myself

And for the times I could have said, "Good-bye."

Sorry I could not be what you wanted me to be in your eyes.

I'm not that.

Sorry that the demons came back again,

Though I swore they were locked up.

Once again, I am alone to fight them

As you could not be bothered.

I thought you could be trusted, saw you

As family, but that was wrong.

Sorry for that.

Now I am sorry I won't be back.

I am going to find myself 

As I am lost. 

I had enough of monsters biting, stabbing

At my already bleeding heart,

But it keeps beating.

The pain of every beat that I live.

Breathless, but I breath.

Dead, but I live.

Empty, but I am filled

With every tear that cannot stop.

Pain that persist, cannot be healed.

Guilt follows where I cannot dare fight.

I had a great fall

And all the good doctors and nurses

Couldn't put me back together again.

This is a very dark and sad poem.Believing in someone who would stand by you but has let you down.
Heart touching lines:

I love the descriptions and phrases that make up this whole write! It makes it easy for the reader to relate and it all goes together so well.
