Was I dreaming

Was I dreaming when

I woke to you not there.

The mold of your

body in the sheets

is all I see.

What happened?

was it something I

said please come

back to me Love.

The scent of your

perfume still lingers,

I still smell your

sweet scent it's

never left.

The sound of  your

lovely laughter

echoes all through

the hallways.

The bed is cold

now through the

nights without you.

There is a burning pain

this ache in my heart

for you.

Was I dreaming you

were gone when

I woke this Morning.

that's something I have come to learn down the years of life.
