The Aristocrat

The Aristocrat

A Poem by Ali
"

Aristocrat is inspired by a painting I saw of an Andalusian stallion a while back.

"

In a surge of power he starts his song,

Rising and falling to his unheard melody like the oceans ebony waves.

With each beat his beauty grows,

With every sound his bountiless exurberence increases.

Oh, if only I could capture that spirit,

That passion,

That grace,

For his is the aristocrat's theme.

With his subtle chivalry

And never ending pride.

I think the poem would end on a stronger note if you cut it off at "And never ending pride". The bit after that just seems sort of cliche. But you've done a good job here.

Now this I love. Your a very good writer. Everything flows in harmony. I have always loved the Idea of Aristocrats. They are graceful but full of power to. Thats makes you just want to drop to their feet lol. You have captured it all, all there is to tell about an Aristocrat.
