Love is a Friend

Love is a Friend

A Poem by Beatrice Boyle (Grandma Bea)
"

The measure of a true friend, is one who will be there for you in your darkest moments, ready for you to lean on.

"

Love is A Friend

Come lean on me my friend

I am here for you

Take my arm when you falter

And miss a step or two

When the pain becomes too much to bear

And your courage begins to wane

Shed your tears upon my shoulder

There is no need to explain

When you give in to despair

And there’s no relief in sight

I’ll try my best to comfort you

And try to make things right

I will gladly share this burden

That fate has decreed for you

For I know if our roles reversed

You would be there for me too

True friendship never dies

For love will see us through

You only have to call on me

I’ll always be there for you
