Curtains

Curtains

A Poem by Gypsy Dreamer
"

For my daughter Tiffany Michelle, to help her see the light.

"
Pulled back my curtains today
left them closed too long
The sun shined through
with a million rays
as if they were singing a song.

I cried Oh God
where have I been
where am I going now
I let the sun
shine down on me
it feels so good somehow

While in the dark
with curtains drawn
I could erase the world
now with the light
in my eyes so bright
no longer a lost little girl.

I smile to you
I smile for me
I'm really trying hard
to keep my curtains
opened wide
my heart no longer barred.
