I can't even

I have a friend who was suicidal. Hope she's doing better, but I wrote this for her.

I can barely even begin
To tell you how I'd feel
If you were gone.

I can barely even imagine
A world where
You aren't there.

I can barely breathe
When I hear that you think
That death is the only way out.

I'd sing you a million songs,
Never tell you your wrong,
Never say: be strong,
If it means you'll stay here with me.

I can barely even begin
To explain to you
The pain,

And how,
Without you,
It wouldn't be the same.

Because you are the only thing
That's keeping me sane.
