End of the Heydays

End of the Heydays

A Poem by IPMONER

The blue eyes filled my thoughts loathing,

Just when I put a drench on fighting.

I knew it was over, I lost everything

I decided not to hover for something.

Memories held my stupor hands twisted,

Felt like all the things we had were wasted.

I gave up all and I started, and waited

To figure stuffs; now I ain’t lifted.

So much of the emotion have been poured,

So much of the trust was ruined by a word.

A powerful short poem. Words can start a fire or burn out like candle forever. I like the use of language. The words made this poem very good poetry. A excellent poem.

This poem conveys your feelings of despair as you surrender to defeat
I can relate to it in the sense that i also once lost everything .. but believe me, all is not yet lost .. you have more to give, but you are so down that you cannot realise it
Plunge into yourself and you'll see that your heart still seeks for love
A broken heart is healed by love itself .. so never accept defeat from love ..
Well penned!

In a relationship, trust is significant to help it grow and flourish. Once trust is betrayed, the relationship, in turn, will sink---so much like being drawn deeper into the quicksand. Thus, everything wanders into its doom. Well-penned!

There is alot of pain in this piece. Sounds like regret, and a few other emotions. I've felt just like this before so I could relate. Nicely done!
