Tropical Snow Drinks, Pt.I

Tropical Snow Drinks, Pt.I

A Poem by ?:

No arrangement
Pointing fingers, forming patterns
Abbreviated renditions of what you had in mind

Some validation
Would be a nice surprise
But where's the thrill in that?
"The best work comes from tortured minds"

Is there ever change without divide?
Will progress and frustration always coincide?
I will always strive to make things align
But the uncertainty is somehow overpowering

No exaltation
Or ever any real decline
No explanation

Exaggerations
Obscurity is idolized
Are we measured by the things we like?
Or by our aspirations?

Is there ever change without divide?
Will progress and frustration always coincide?
I will always strive to make things align
But the uncertainty is still so overpowering

Am I ever fully awake when all I can seem to do is dream?
Never quite unconscious
But my subconscious caught somewhere in between
Sharpen the image the slightest bit for a quick glimpse and what do I see?
Nondescript figures
Shapes once familiar
Now only seem foreign to me
