Hiro

They say time will make you forget a thing, an event or a person. But until you meet somebody in your past... you'll never be sure. Because even if your mind wants to, the heart never forget.

For when I saw you again,

The sight of you travels into to my heart.

I thought it was not something to feel,

It was not something to fear.

But then,  ALAS! It’s still the same.

Because time was nothing but a passing moment,

and never erases what the heart remembers.

Truth is the heart waited for your return.

You came crashing in again.

Without notice, you unlock the doors you closed.

I threw my keys but you kept yours.

It's a crime and a victim I'd willingly be.

Another time, Another place.

You continued the story I thought I ended.

Pages kept turning and we're here.

Here to stay and learn it all over again.

For between my heart and yours,

Time is nothing but a period of waiting.

To grow the vine, to sweeten the wine, .

To deepened the love that's once more...ours.

"Hiro" This is a true example of how time can just seem like a word and not reality..
"Saw you again..sight of you travels into my heart..thought something to feel..nothing to fear."
Reality does live in our hearts and time needs to be allowed to swallow up past pain as in..
"Alas the same..time a passing moment..never erases and the heart waited."
Hope lives; "another time, another place..you continued the story I thought I ended..pages turning."
final line of wishing; "To deepen the love that's once more..ours."
I have not written a true love poem of this nature and I found it lovely!
I like to occasionally read a new poet, (new to me that is.)
