"How Do You Say Goodbye"

            "HOW DO YOU SAY GOODBYE"

 

How do you say goodbye to someone that means so much

How do you let go of something that is wrong but feels so right

It is a confusing thing to love someone but have to set them free

When all you wanted is for that person to love you in all honesty

How do you let go and move on even when you really do not want to

Do you just forget what you  had with that person

The things that were so special

Even if the things didn't always work

Or do you just riminisce of how things could have been

Even if the memories bring feelings of pain and hurt

 

How do you let go and move on and not let the pain show

How do you stop the tears once they start to flow

I was told that if you love something you should set them free

If it returns to you it was yours all along, but if it doesn't

It was never meant to be

So I am setting you free while we both move on with our lives

If we shall meet again and love is still in our hearts we can try

Things again a second time.
