Sugar

Sugar

A Poem by I Am Eagle Scout

Sugared lips so glazed in love

Whispers soft like cooing doves

Scent of heaven all around

Touch that drives my heart to pound

Honeyed kisses, baking breath

Leading trails of liquid rest

Eyes seducing me to stay

Now she’s pushing me away

“One more moment, one last kiss

Please prolong this perfect bliss”

“One day soon,” she whispers soft

Disappearing, now I’m lost

Trails of kisses turn to frost

Waiting for her sugared gloss
