SLEEP IN PEACE

For FELIX a friend and a brother whom I lost to death two days ago.

“We live only so we could die
And we die only so we could be alive”
Were the first fifty words that came to my mind
As I wrote this first four lines.



Oh my brother
My beloved friend
My brother from another mother
Its so hard to believe that
Your earthly journey just came to an end.



But if we all live so we could die
And die so that we could be alive
I hope when I die
Together we would be alive.



They say, write in the sand
And when the rain comes
It will leave the space all washed off like a river bank
So, I have taken the memories we had
With words will I write them on the hand of time
For everyone could see the good things you did for me
And you, will the world remember.



But as you go before me
My brother
Know that I will always love you
And please don't forget me
For in my heart there's a special place for you
And this I pray for you
Oh, my brother
That you sleep in peace.
