CamerasA Chapter by ImaginatorGrace was told by a teacher with white hair-who happened to be the principal, Mr. Martin-that she was supposed to go to the Japanese room for photography. Photograpgy? I wonder what that could be. And Japanese? What's that? Hm, so many questions have I, thought Grace as she walked through a tiny room that was dubbed the High school Office, another tiny room that was rather dark, and into a classroom that was extremely loud, too loud for Grace's liking. In the front of the room was a teacher that was wearing a yellow cardigan a black shirt underneath, and some jeans. "Quiet down, everyone!" The teacher said, exasperated. The class became a little quieter, but not by much. The teacher just shook her head nad started her talk. "Today, we are going to use digital cameras today. I hope everyone brought their's." There was a unified reply that they had, and the teacher-Miss Scott- added that she had brought an extra one. It was given to Grace. Grace put it on the table nad circled it like a valture, trying to figure out what it was used for.A girl with dark hair that had purple highlights in it and brown eyes, saw her distress and came over to help her. "This is a camera, and you turn it on with this button." She pressed the ON switch and the lenses came out. Grace backed up in fright, then came over and picked it up. She looked at the screen. "There's tiny people in here! They're stuck! How can we help them?" Grace asked, despratly "It's okay, they aren't stuck. This is called a camera. You take pictures of people so that you can keep it as a memory." "Oh, I see. So it isn't dangerous after all?" "No, it's safe. See?" The girl said as she took a picture of Grace with the digital camera. "I feel like a part of my soul is leaving... I'm dying," Grace said, gripping her chest. "Sure, you're totally dying, I can tell. Anyways, good luck with your assingment!" The girl said, and then as a second thought, "I'm Mai, what's your name?" "I am Grace. It's nice to meet you," Grace said extending her hand for a handshake. "Same here." Mai said, smiling. Grace and Mai spent the rest of the class together, and became fast friends. In fact, by the end of class, Grace-who was not a huggy person-was hugging Mai. "Well, time to go to our next class!" Mai said, dragging Grace behind her. "Hold on! I need to get my stuff!" Grace said, trying to grab her things before she was carried off. "Opps, sorry. Anyways, let's go!" Mai said, as they walked across the way to the next classroom. © 2011 ImaginatorAuthor's Note
