A Poem by Micheala Dover
"

A couple going through life filled with sickness.

"
We sat on the pier
We watched the water ripple
We laughed at jokes
We were happy

We sat in the house
We watched TV
We chuckled at jokes
We were content

We sat in the hospital
We watched the nurses
We smiled at jokes
We were okay

We laid in bed
We watched each other
We didn't make jokes
We were tired

I sat in a chair
I watched the ground
The jokes weren't funny
I was alone

He stood in the clouds
He watched me
He smiled at the jokes
He waited for me

We sat on the pier
We watched the water ripple
We laughed at the joke of life
We were happy again

From what I can tell it seems to be about two lovers and one passes and they get to see each other again. I really love the overall sentiment of this poem since my grandma and grandpa have kinda dealt with the same thing and thinking about them reuniting one day is a very comforting thought to have.
