Deep, Pleasant DreamA Story by Carmen GarciaI watched as several snowflakes fell to the ground, floating gently on the small breeze that blew them about. They reminded me of tiny little fairies dancing around, without a care in the world, turning everything they touched into a white, wintry wonderland. I remembered reading a fairy tale, one that described fairies as care- free spirits, straight from a deep, pleasant dream. I wished my life could be that dream, but of course that was just a stupid wish, one that I knew would never come true. I was living in a nightmare, not a dream, one that I would never wake up from. © 2010 Carmen Garcia |
