Deep, Pleasant Dream

Deep, Pleasant Dream

A Story by Carmen Garcia

I watched as several snowflakes fell to the ground, floating gently on the small breeze that blew them about.

They reminded me of tiny little fairies dancing around, without a care in the world, turning everything they touched into a white, wintry wonderland.

I remembered reading a fairy tale, one that described fairies as care- free spirits, straight from a deep, pleasant dream.

I wished my life could be that dream, but of course that was just a stupid wish, one that I knew would never come true.

I was living in a nightmare, not a dream, one that I would never wake up from.
