Without Surrender

My life has exceeded expectations;

And without a sense of entitlement.

Gifted with personal revelations;

Leading to prosaic enlightenment.

 

Embracing poetics; spoken word art,

Embracing this life with passion and flair.

Enduring to the end from the start,

Of haters and critics I do not care .

 

A beautiful mind that is quite insane,

Words which are written and spoken off beat.

The muses lightning rod that is my brain,

Somehow refuses to accept defeat.

 

Observing life in horrific splendor;

Having no regrets without surrender.
