Love Stories

This isn’t a book within a store waiting
It’s one we’re vehemently writing
With every moment shared, with every encompassing kiss
Comes a new letter, word and sentence.

Not every section will resemble a romantic movie
There will be bad times too realistically
But so long as we accentuate the positives
We could write in invisible ink for the negatives.

We need to respectfully care for the pages
Hard to remember sometimes as the passion rages
Proofreading, making sure corners aren’t dog-eared
Glue the binding with trust instead of tears.

Let us hold hands, guiding the pen for new chapters
Your touch ignites the heart’s fuel ever faster
Pages inscribed by what our flames are masterminding
It could be like your favorite story but with our happy ending.
