Goodbye Kiss

Goodbye Kiss

A Poem by JK
"

One last kiss goodbye to love

"
Summer swelter wouldn't deter
lustful palpitations hearts sang
that nightfall. Naive minds couldn't
fathom anything but touching lips.

Love's vocabulary unbeknownst to
my sheltered ego sparked flames
forever dormant inside pure innocence;
capturing glances made butterflies flutter.

Umber tresses hid angelic pupils slithering
up my wan skin, incarnadine dimples coyly
forget achromatic worlds. Cupid's arrows
targeted the fabric holding my heart together.

Warm upside down frowns invited me into
your body language despite my bashful
nature our breath intertwined. Fireworks
exploded upon sanguine emotions.

-

Alas- our intertwined breath became a goodbye.
