Dusk's End

Dusk's End

A Poem by Jamie Starlight

Dusk’s wintry gleam cutting away at the shadows of this desolate room

Soon its feeble efforts well die away, leaving this room to somber gloom

As the beautiful tendrils of light fade away the sunless talons loom

The indigo glow has been replaced by night’s hellish bloom

Leaning deeply into a corner, eyes at the empty floor

An empty expanse of nothing, everything to deplore

No one to love, nothing to become, not one to care for

This room has no purpose, its dweller no more
