Blue

Blue

A Poem by Jenny Davis

Walking along the usual glass

I saw him-

he was breaking

with eyes the color of an overcast

The tips of my shoes clicked and clacked-

remorsefully, I headed back to solid ground

I turned the corner of a memory

and saw him bigger, brighter than ice

Not like now, with time crystallized

and his skin

matching the sky's mood and mine

That was flipping amazing. I loved hearing your voice read your words. I need to find out where I can do that at. This was beautiful and I really allowed myself to become so lost deep in between your words, your voice and the soft music playing in the back ground. You are a bad a*s I must say. I truly enjoyed this and am so in awe with you at this moment.

Jenny, very pretty, your poetry is enthusing my heart, you don't speak about a relation to this man, but it is obvious. Raffinesse it is...

Magical AND I have no sound to hear your voice, but the imagary and words are just delicious .......
the image, he was breaking.............the blue under current throughout, making the feelings raw.
Beautiful, and very inspiring to read.

Intriguing .open to so many interpretations Made me think ofthe winter sun and then again of friends with whom I have lost contact. I read again and decided that I was not able to understand what had inspired this remarkable piece of writing

Awww, Jenny, this is a wonderful piece!

Very imaginative and sweet. I love your descriptions, it gives this piece so much character. Also, hearing you read it with the music box music gives it a magical quality. Delightful!!

Beautiful package here. The lines, the voice and the music all combined in a bit of magic.

Oh how wonderful Jenny! A true performance piece and its so wonderfully done by you! Brava!!!! See I knew not to say, bravo...anyway...on to your poem. :)

The first line just plain grabbed me. Walking not merely on glass, but ususal glass so the implication is that that's not exactly a far out thing to do...in one line magical reality has been created. Because in the next he breaks and the images of that....piercing (no pun intended) I like the carefree way that you describe your shoes click clanking on ice...an interesting playfulness juxtaposed with the image of the man breaking and then he's somehow reborn better than before...and I don't question it one bit because you're created a poetic landscape here that is so beautiful and exquisite that I am carried away by your artistry.
