Broken Barbie

Broken Barbie

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ interesting people walk Hollywood Boulevard, meet Barbie ~

"

Watch where you walk

Step on a crack

break your mother’s back

Yeah you…broken Barbie with the broken smile

broken nail

heart chipped lipstick red

perfumed wrist, Channel? no just decay

Street lamp heat turns to gray

just another hanging tree

free fall baby in a dark abyss

Inviting shadows and clicking heels

with vacant eyes

and empty pockets

She felt your soul twitch

once in a dream

Welcome to hell

Wanna climb the devils staircase

and lie to her awhile?

But not tonight baby

can’t give it away

Didn’t mama teach you

nothin is for free

Except a free fall baby in a dark abyss

So don’t push her

There’s a hole in her stocking for a reason

John..or is it Jack, Jim, Jerry

Who the f**k cares

You’re all flip switch nightmares in a wet dream

and all your sweet cream lip service

won’t warm icy shivers in deficient veins

or blistered skin itching nicotine blues

So pull her a lucky strike

and watch where you walk

Didn’t mama teach you

nothin is for free

Except a free fall baby in a dark abyss

As you can see, my eyes are wide, my mouth hanging open and my sneakers screech to a halt. I would never guess this poem came from you; it's so far "out of the box" for you... Not that I'm concerned with your box, umm, omg, I mean it's unexpected in both subject and style.

This is a departure of the beautiful butterfly lands you typically write. It's good to see something different from you.
