Moving South

Moving South

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ a romantic scribble ~

"

With every breath, with every sigh

we chase moonlight

soft are the moonbeams

            just out of reach

You…with your midnight eyes

and me…weak from your loveliness

longing for the veil to lift

                        aching to taste joy

                  waiting in the darkness

with no other light except that which is you

burning in my soul

like the soft flame of a lighted match

moving south

with every breath, with every sigh

                                                but just out of reach….

                        and still,

                                                we chase moonlight

One of my favorites poem... as expected. You still write very deep romantic poetry. Your latest-work`s very breathtaking. Every word of this write`s meant to be inhaled with your breath left on your written pages. You still conquer my heart... with words.

I`d be looking forward to reading your more work!

Your poetry makes my heart flutter every time, you have a way of channeling such powerful emotions to your readers..makes me jealous haha. Your words achieve what so many writers, including myself, strive for.

The beauty found in this poem is overwhelming :)

I appreciate your kind words Zachary. Thanks so much. I'm thrilled you enjoy my scribbles.. :) Julie
Well it is clear that you are a master at romance, so no need to say anything there.

However i would really like to see you expand because you are a truly gifted writer, so maybe something other than romance.

Another wonderful read.
Thank you for sharing.

I like this, because it seems to have a couple of meanings, and it enhances the piece. You always present with grace, style, and care.

Thanks so much Ron :) Julie
Fire is intriguing. A candle, a match, a cleansing forest burn, the campfire crackle, the gas logs blue heat...
Yet nothing compares to the intensity if a lovers fire. It is all there. The comfort, the fantasy, the burn, the danger, the healing, the destruction, the melting...
South? Well, who's watching the gyroscope?
It all really happens when north meets south after all.
Fun and sensual read, penned with tasteful restraint. ;)
