Melancholy

It might suck

I had something just to tell you

But you won't give me time to 

Explain what she had to say.

You were waiting for this moment

So you would put it on me 

But I'll look the other way

I was just trying to help you.

I wasn't planning on this.

So forgive me one last time...

Can't you

Tell that I am sickly?

In my melancholy.

But you don't even care.

I don't want to be ignored.

But I don't want to be adored.

At your convenience. 

But I can do this by myself 

I have tried to help everyone

But diagnosed myself with 

All these problems

I was just trying to help you.

I wasn't planning on this.

So forgive me one last time...

Can't you

See all of my sickness?

In my downward spiral

But why would you even care?

I don't want to be adored.

I don't want to be ignored.

At your convenience.

But I'll do it all by myself.

How I can relate to those lines- or could have. Excellent poem about this issue. It really is so easy to go spiraling down when one is merely trying to help someone- to lose reality, no longer able to distinguish between another's problems and one's own. Perhaps there is such a thing as too much compassion... Co-dependence, I think is a good term for it. Well done. Thoughtful read. Regards

I don't want to be ignored,
I dont want to be adored..
Marvelous. Sometimes you just want to be normal, niether someone who is so happy, that others jealous nor the one who is the gainer of everyone's sympathy. I can relate to it to an ectent. Very nice poem, just hope its not your real life. *fingers crossed*
