Dreams, Expectations, and Failures

One world crumbles 

in the presence of many others.

Such as expectations, 

for they are a heart's unneeded 

yet ever present burden. 

As well as the despairing pain of failure 

from obsessed perseverance. 

If only to imagine the reward promised in the end 

to only make you feel utter desperation.

Goals and dreams for many can truly feel a lot like that. 

And that's why it's heart breaking. 

Companionship can only make the burden light, 

but never take it away as a whole. 

And sometimes it ends up as us 

questioning our beliefs and our faith. 

It makes us doubt everything 

that we should and could be. 

We are all afraid to end up into nothing.

But for now all we can do 

is to have faith and persevere and hope 

that the goal we try to claim is what is to be. 

That is the beauty in our ever painful cycle of our humanity.
