YOU CAN'T BE ME

YOU CAN'T BE ME

A Poem by Kay Salisu Titilola
"

You just have to stay happy and be yourself.

"
I'm born to a different mother.
On a different year, month and day.
Even though you were my twin brother,
Our lives and attitude can never be the same.
You are born to be you and I'm born to be me.
Wherever you go, you can never be me.
Not only we are made to be in different body,
So as we are born to make a different living.

You may like to play golf,
And I may hate it the most.
You may like to joke around.
While I may be a lonely wolf.
Sleeping could be your favorite,
While I may be a night owl.
My choice and need in life,
Can never emulate your own.

Your life may be a bed of roses,
easy to plant and nurture.
Mine may be a bed of gold,
That need much stress and effort.
The process you need to get your own,
Would be totally different from mine.
Go your way, I'll go my own.
We are not made to follow the same path.

You may get there before me,
that doesn't make me a lazy loser.
Everyone has their own beginning,
And natural phenomenon that guide each life.
Stories are different,
Experience are partly similar.
Don't ask me why I haven't got there.
Everybody has their own time count.
