Heal

Pieces of your heart you are not ready to give

Though your mistake I do forgive

I try and try your heart to heal

And you run away, how am I supposed to feel

I tell you the truth and you tell half a lie

How come when I arrive you say goodbye

What more can I do what more can I serve

Yours I can be but I'm not a slave

I show the world my pain and never show you

What if I gave you my words , what would you do

Yes I give you my life , but why my life do you steal

I bleed upon your wounds may all your wounds then heal

You knocked my door I opened my gate

Drank your poison and your hate I ate

I understand you need time to get well and become fine

But now your free and weak to stand , I'm afraid you wont be mine

I can't tell you that I love you but I can show it by deed

Harder I try to stay around , as I'm the one you need

In my dreams I always see you and that's the only reason that I sleep

Asleep forever I wish to be , but real you then I wont keep

So I knock your door as hard as I can

Bleeds the door , bleeds the man

Full heart I do deserve but for a full heart I don’t ask

You can see behind my face you can see through my mask

That a heart that is broken I want to cure

As my love is eternal and my heart is pure

I can't walk you the road but I can draw a line

I gather pieces of your heart to un break the heart of mine

Your words are true in this poem. Take time and small steps to be able to heal. I like the feel and the desire of this poem. Great gift of friendship are given when we are a friend trying to assist someone back on the good road. A excellent poem.

Love often relies on timing as well as circumstance... one of the worst feelings is trying to love someone who is not ready to be loved... the timing is wrong, and all that can occur is wounding...

Love, the most common emotion to write about. The only emotion I can think of that leaves people feeling lost and confused instead of complete. A woman is always more willing to attempt love then a man, hence the battle of the sexes.

Hmm that situation of someone wanting to get a hold of a wounded person is not good at all. More problems come. Anyway ... I liked it very much! It's very touching, sincere, sad and beautiful too. The right words were used =)
