The dawn of the guitar

The dawn of the guitar

A Poem by M.Kilani

The dawn of the guitar

Six feet away stood my guitar

As love it stood not that close, six feet seems so far

Six strings each has its own tunes, others can't repeat

Ironic it may seem … six strings and six feet

Sinful

Yet beautiful

Violent

Yet silent

Is my guitar

3:11 am empty sounds of street

3:11 am sounds of my bear feet

Moving towards the guitar

I can smell my last cigarette… still I can taste the tar

Close I got, asleep is the world … asleep is my guitar

If dawn faster has come…and darkness came to end

I'll play until I fall asleep… no tears will I descend

But tired I am … for two days I'm sleepless

Silence of the night has made me speechless

And speechless is my guitar

Ooooh...nice! lol
Great poem love! The speechless guitar, seen many things, felt the emotion of the poet/musician, heard many notes of minor and major pleasure lol
Awesome!
Love this!

Musical talent is the one thing I'm envious of... I have none. Love this poem... reminds me of the shifting faces of the muse... sometimes the melodies flow... at others there is just silence...

An interesting piece...I like it, although I confess that I am unable to tell You why...it is interesting in the best sense

I wish I could learn to play a guitar. Words and music are the perfect combination. You could change the world. Look at Edwin Starr. His song war still stand against the desire of war 40 years later. I could feel the loneliness and sadness in the words. To be able to play a guitar should be a friend to bring back hope and dreams. A excellent poem.
